Letter of Inquiry
Prior to reviewing a full proposal, many foundations prefer to quickly review a project to determine its appropriateness. This can save both your organization and the foundation valuable time.
To use the sample letter of inquiry:
- Open the Letter of Inquiry template.
- Open the Letter of Inquiry Copy Blocks document.
- Copy information on the program you plan to implement from the Copy Blocks document and paste it into the spaces indicated in the Letter of Inquiry template.

Proposal Cover Letter
Most proposals should be sent with a cover letter. The cover letter should come from a high-ranking person within your organization, in order to show the full support of the organization in implementing the program. The samples we provide here can be used "as is" or modified to reflect the individual style of the person sending the letter.
